Monday's 10-Game NBA Slate: November 24th Features Durant's Return to Phoenix

Posted: November 24, 2025, 11:15 AM ET | Detroit @ Indiana, Cleveland @ Toronto, New York @ Brooklyn, Dallas @ Miami, Denver @ Memphis, Portland @ Milwaukee, Chicago @ New Orleans, Houston @ Phoenix, Utah @ Golden State, Minnesota @ Sacramento

Monday brings a loaded ten-game NBA slate with compelling storylines throughout. The headline matchup features Kevin Durant's emotional return to Phoenix as the Houston Rockets visit the Suns, while Nikola Jokic's Denver Nuggets look to continue their dominance against Memphis. The red-hot Cleveland Cavaliers take their impressive form to Toronto, and the New York Knicks look to dominate their crosstown rival Nets. Action tips off at 7:00 PM ET and runs through the late West Coast window.

🏀 HOUSTON ROCKETS @ PHOENIX SUNS | 9:30 PM ET

Rockets HOUSTON ROCKETS (10-4) @ PHOENIX SUNS (11-6) Suns
HOU -5.5 | Total 223.5
PHX Arena, Phoenix, AZ | Peacock

The marquee matchup of the night features Kevin Durant's first return to Phoenix since the blockbuster seven-team trade that sent him to Houston this past offseason. Durant was traded along with Clint Capela in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and multiple picks in what became the largest trade in NBA history. He subsequently signed a two-year, $90 million extension with Houston, taking $30 million less than the max to give the team flexibility. Durant leads the Rockets with 24.6 points per game, while Alperen Sengun provides interior dominance with 22.7 points and 10 rebounds per game. The Rockets own the league's third-best offense at 122.9 points per game and a top-five defense allowing just 112.5, giving them the NBA's second-best point differential at +10.4. For Phoenix, Devin Booker is averaging 26.9 points and 7.1 assists, while Dillon Brooks is averaging 25.0 points over his last 10 games. The Suns are 11-6 with an impressive 8-2 home record. Note: Durant is listed as out for personal reasons and Fred VanVleet is out for the season with an ACL injury.

🏀 DENVER NUGGETS @ MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES | 8:00 PM ET

Nuggets DENVER NUGGETS (12-4) @ MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES (5-11) Grizzlies
DEN -8.5 | Total 234.5
FedExForum, Memphis, TN

Nikola Jokic continues his historic MVP campaign as the Denver Nuggets visit Memphis. Jokic is averaging 30.4 points, 13.0 rebounds, and 10.8 assists per game on 67% shooting from the field. He is chasing history, with his magic number to catch Oscar Robertson for second on the all-time triple-doubles list at 17. In their most recent game, Jokic posted 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists as Denver beat Houston 112-109. Jamal Murray added 26 points and 10 assists in that win. Memphis is dealing with major injury issues, as Ja Morant is sidelined for approximately two weeks with a Grade 1 calf strain. The Grizzlies are struggling at 5-11 and riding a four-game losing streak. Jaren Jackson Jr. leads the remaining roster with 17.9 points per game.

🏀 CLEVELAND CAVALIERS @ TORONTO RAPTORS | 7:00 PM ET

Cavaliers CLEVELAND CAVALIERS @ TORONTO RAPTORS Raptors
TOR -1.5 | Total 232.5
Scotiabank Arena, Toronto

Donovan Mitchell leads one of the NBA's hottest teams as the Cleveland Cavaliers visit Toronto. Mitchell is averaging a scorching 30.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season. He has scored at least 30 points in five of his last six appearances. The Cavaliers feature the Core Four of Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley (Defensive Player of the Year), and Jarrett Allen. Cleveland went 64-18 last season under coach Kenny Atkinson.

🏀 NEW YORK KNICKS @ BROOKLYN NETS | 7:30 PM ET

Knicks NEW YORK KNICKS (9-6) @ BROOKLYN NETS Nets
NY -13.5 | Total 228.5
Barclays Center, Brooklyn

The Battle of New York features the Knicks as massive 13.5-point road favorites. Jalen Brunson continues his elite play with 28.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game. Karl-Anthony Towns has seamlessly integrated, averaging 21.5 points and 12.8 rebounds with double-doubles in nine consecutive games. The Knicks are 9-6 under new head coach Mike Brown.

🏀 DETROIT PISTONS @ INDIANA PACERS | 7:00 PM ET

Pistons DETROIT PISTONS @ INDIANA PACERS Pacers
DET -10.5
Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis

The Detroit Pistons continue their stunning turnaround as road favorites against Indiana. Cade Cunningham has emerged as an MVP candidate, averaging 27.3 points and 9.9 assists per game while orchestrating the league's most surprising offense. Detroit's 11-game winning streak represents the longest in franchise history since their championship era, and Cunningham has been the catalyst with his exceptional playmaking and clutch scoring. The Pistons are playing with a swagger that nobody predicted coming into the season.

Indiana faces a massive challenge without Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered a torn Achilles in last year's NBA Finals. The Pacers have struggled to find their offensive identity without their All-Star point guard, and Cunningham will look to exploit their backcourt deficiencies. Detroit's defense has been equally impressive during this run, holding opponents under 110 points in eight of their last ten games. The Pistons' combination of elite guard play, improved defense, and team chemistry makes them legitimate contenders for the first time in over a decade.

🏀 DALLAS MAVERICKS @ MIAMI HEAT | 7:30 PM ET

Mavericks DALLAS MAVERICKS @ MIAMI HEAT Heat
MIA -7.5
Kaseya Center, Miami

The post-Luka Mavericks continue to struggle at 5-12 as the franchise adjusts to life without their superstar after the blockbuster trade to the Lakers. Rookie Cooper Flagg has shown flashes of his immense potential, averaging 16.4 points per game while learning the NBA game in real time. Dallas is in full rebuild mode, but Flagg's development represents their future. The organization is focused on player development over wins this season, giving their young core valuable experience.

Miami has been one of the Eastern Conference's hottest teams, riding a five-game winning streak behind their veteran core. Jimmy Butler continues to lead by example with his two-way excellence, while Bam Adebayo anchors the defense. The Heat's home court advantage at Kaseya Center has been significant, and they're laying 7.5 points with confidence. Miami's combination of playoff experience and defensive intensity should be too much for the rebuilding Mavericks to handle in this matchup.

🏀 PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS @ MILWAUKEE BUCKS | 8:00 PM ET

Trail Blazers PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS @ MILWAUKEE BUCKS Bucks
MIL -2.5
Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee

Milwaukee tries to stay afloat without Giannis Antetokounmpo, who remains sidelined with a low-grade left groin strain that will keep him out for at least 1-2 weeks. The Bucks have struggled mightily without their two-time MVP, dropping to a five-game losing streak and falling in the Eastern Conference standings. Damian Lillard has tried to shoulder the offensive load, but Milwaukee's defense has been exposed without Giannis's rim protection and help defense.

Portland enters as underdogs but has shown competitive spirit under their young roster. Anfernee Simons continues to lead the scoring attack, while Scoot Henderson is developing rapidly in his second season. The Trail Blazers are playing for lottery positioning but still compete hard every night. Milwaukee should have enough firepower with Lillard and Khris Middleton to cover the modest 2.5-point spread at home, but their defensive vulnerabilities make this a tricky spot.

🏀 CHICAGO BULLS @ NEW ORLEANS PELICANS | 8:00 PM ET

Bulls CHICAGO BULLS @ NEW ORLEANS PELICANS Pelicans
CHI -5.5
Smoothie King Center, New Orleans

New Orleans remains mired at 2-14 with the worst record in the Western Conference, a stunning fall for a team with championship aspirations entering the season. Zion Williamson has been limited to just six games due to recurring injuries, and the Pelicans have been unable to establish any rhythm or consistency. CJ McCollum has tried to carry the offensive burden, but without Williamson's dominant paint presence, New Orleans lacks the firepower to compete with most opponents.

Chicago enters as 5.5-point road favorites, a reflection of New Orleans' dysfunction more than the Bulls' excellence. DeMar DeRozan continues to post efficient mid-range numbers, while Coby White has emerged as a legitimate scoring threat off the bench. The Bulls are playing better basketball recently and should handle their business against a Pelicans team that appears destined for a top lottery pick. This is a get-right game for Chicago on the road.

🏀 UTAH JAZZ @ GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS | 10:00 PM ET

Jazz UTAH JAZZ @ GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS Warriors
GSW -14.5
Chase Center, San Francisco

The Warriors are heavy 14.5-point favorites at home against a rebuilding Jazz squad that is firmly in tank mode. Stephen Curry continues to defy Father Time at 36 years old, orchestrating Golden State's offense with the same brilliance that has defined his career. The Warriors have been excellent at Chase Center this season, and the late-night tip provides them an opportunity to extend their home winning streak against inferior competition.

Utah is fully committed to their rebuild, giving extended minutes to young players like Keyonte George and Walker Kessler while veterans take a backseat. The Jazz are not trying to win games at this point, they're developing their core and positioning for the draft lottery. Lauri Markkanen remains the team's best player, but he's rumored to be available in trade talks as Utah looks to accumulate assets. This is the type of game Golden State should dominate from start to finish.

🏀 MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES @ SACRAMENTO KINGS | 10:00 PM ET

Timberwolves MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES @ SACRAMENTO KINGS Kings
MIN -9.5
Golden 1 Center, Sacramento

Sacramento continues to struggle at 3-13 as the franchise adjusts to life after the De'Aaron Fox trade to Houston. Zach LaVine has posted solid individual numbers since arriving in the deal, but the Kings lack the cohesion and chemistry to compete with quality opponents. Domantas Sabonis remains a double-double machine, but Sacramento's defense has been atrocious without Fox's perimeter pressure and transition presence.

Minnesota enters as heavy 9.5-point road favorites behind Anthony Edwards' superstar play. Edwards has been on a tear recently, including back-to-back 40-point performances that showcase his evolution into one of the league's premier scorers. The Timberwolves are playing playoff-level basketball and should handle their business against a Sacramento team still searching for its identity. Rudy Gobert's defensive presence makes Minnesota a nightmare matchup for the Kings' interior-focused offense.
