Freddy Peralta's last four starts: 23 innings, 2 earned runs, 10 hits. His season ERA is still 4.67, but the version of him that's taking the ball at Tropicana Field on Saturday has been close to untouchable for a month. He's also a far better pitcher at home, a 3.66 ERA there against 5.81 on the road. The Rays are 53 and 26 at home, 8 and 2 in their last ten, and 4 games clear of the Yankees in the AL East. That's where today's card starts.
5 plays, 12.5 units to win, 18.31 at risk. The first pitch is 1:10 Pacific, and the last one goes at 5:40.

Every price here is laying juice, so the unit figures are what each ticket wins. Three moneyline favorites carry 9 of the 12.5 units, and the two unders fill out the rest.
Rays -149: Peralta At Home And Rolling
Tampa Bay is 93 and 60 with a run differential of 78, and 53 and 26 of those games came at Tropicana Field. Boston is a good team too, 84 and 70 and holding a wild card spot by 6 games, and the Red Sox are actually better on the road (46 and 33) than at Fenway. So this isn't a mismatch in the standings. It's a bet on the pitcher.
| Freddy Peralta, last four starts | Innings | Hits | Earned Runs | Strikeouts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aug 26 at Detroit | 6.0 | 2 | 0 | 4 |
| Sep 1 vs Mets | 6.0 | 3 | 1 | 7 |
| Sep 8 at Atlanta | 6.0 | 5 | 1 | 2 |
| Sep 13 vs Houston | 5.0 | 0 | 0 | 4 |
Five hitless innings against Houston last time out, two runs total across the whole stretch. The home and road split is big for him this year: 83.2 innings at home with a 3.66 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP, and a 5.81 ERA on the road. Saturday is a home start. Boston hadn't listed a starter in the MLB feed when I checked at 8:50 this morning Pacific, which is part of why I'm fine laying -149 now rather than waiting for the matchup to firm up.
Guardians -177: A One Game Lead And Jacob Lopez
Cleveland is 79 and 75 and leads the White Sox by one game in the AL Central, with three straight wins. The Athletics are 61 and 93, have lost four in a row, and have allowed 880 runs, which works out to 5.71 a game. Every game matters to one dugout here and none of them matter to the other.
| 2026 | Jacob Lopez, Athletics | Tanner Bibee, Guardians |
|---|---|---|
| Record and ERA | 6 and 4, 5.02 | 6 and 15, 4.16 |
| Starts and innings | 22 starts, 114.2 | 31 starts, 177.1 |
| WHIP | 1.48 | 1.18 |
| Walks | 56 | 54 |
| Last four starts | 20.2 innings, 12 earned runs | 21 innings, 13 earned runs |
Bibee's 6 and 15 record is ugly and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. But his ERA and WHIP are far better than Lopez's, he walks fewer hitters per inning, and he's covered 177.1 innings to Lopez's 114.2. Lopez gave up 5 home runs across his last four starts, and his last outing ended after 3.2 innings with 5 earned runs against Seattle. At -177 I need Cleveland to win about 64 percent of the time. Against a team that's lost 93 games, with a division lead on the line, I think that's a fair ask.
Padres -151: Casey Mize At Petco Against A Struggling Eury Perez
San Diego has won three straight and 9 of its last 10, is 47 and 29 at Petco Park, and holds a wild card spot. Miami is 76 and 78 and 31 and 45 on the road.
Casey Mize has been a different pitcher at home this season: a 3.15 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP over 60 innings at Petco, against a 4.20 ERA on the road. On the other side, Eury Perez has had a rough September. His last four starts add up to 16.2 innings, 25 hits and 19 earned runs, and he didn't get through five innings in three of them. That includes 3 home runs allowed in Kansas City and 10 hits against the Mets. His season numbers, a 3.99 ERA with 155 strikeouts, say he's better than that stretch, and that's exactly why the price isn't bigger. I'll take the hot team at home against the pitcher who's been hit hardest lately.
Two Unders: Quantrill At Home, Cameron On The Road
Blue Jays and Rangers under 7.5 at -110. Cal Quantrill has a 2.90 ERA and a 1.05 WHIP this year, and at Globe Life Field those drop to 2.28 and 0.99 over 55.1 innings. He threw 7 shutout innings against Tampa Bay earlier this month. Jose Soriano has been better on the road than at home, a 3.39 road ERA over 95.2 innings. Toronto has scored 620 runs, just over 4 a game, and Texas has scored 645. Both teams are chasing a playoff spot, Texas one game back of the last wild card and Toronto two.
Royals and Pirates under 8 at -120. Noah Cameron has been much better on the road this year: a 3.18 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP in 87.2 road innings, compared with 4.58 at home. His last two starts were 6 shutout innings against Arizona and 6 innings with 1 run at Fenway. The Royals are 28 and 51 away from home and 3 and 7 in their last ten. Bubba Chandler has a 4.28 ERA and gets strikeouts, 132 in 147.1 innings.
The Argument Against This Card
I don't know who Boston is starting. The MLB feed had no Red Sox starter listed this morning. If they send a strong arm, the Rays price might look short, and Peralta's season ERA is still 4.67 even with the good run.
Bibee has been hit lately too. Two of his last four starts were 5 earned runs apiece, and he's lost 15 games. A bad Bibee day makes -177 a heavy price.
Eury Perez can still dominate. He has 155 strikeouts in 144.1 innings and a 3.45 ERA at home. One sharp outing and the Padres are in a coin flip game at -151.
Chandler walks people. 75 walks in 147.1 innings, and the Pirates have scored 738 runs, more than any other team in either of these unders. Walks and one big inning are how an 8 goes over.
The Blue Jays and Rangers combine for about 8.2 runs a game. The under 7.5 depends on the two starters pitching like their season lines, and both bullpens getting through the late innings clean.
