Wyoming Cowboys @ #20 Texas Tech Red Raiders

3:00 PM ET ESPN+ United Supermarkets Arena, Lubbock TTU -21.5 O/U 154.5

The only ranked team in action today, #20 Texas Tech hosts Wyoming in what should be a tune-up game for Big 12 play. The Red Raiders entered the season ranked #10 nationally and were picked third in the Big 12 preseason poll behind only Houston and BYU. Head coach Grant McCasland has out-performed his preseason KenPom ranking in all nine seasons as a head coach - an impressive track record that bodes well for Texas Tech's ceiling.

Big 12 Player of the Year Returns

JT Toppin is the headliner - the reigning Big 12 Player of the Year who averaged 18.2 points and 9.4 rebounds last season while leading Texas Tech to the Elite Eight. He passed on the 2025 NBA Draft and is widely considered the second-best returning player in college basketball behind Purdue's Braden Smith. Sophomore guard Christian Anderson was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team, while transfer LeJuan Watts (13.7 PPG, 6.7 RPG at Washington State) was named the Preseason Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.

Elite Shot-Blocking Transfer

Luke Bamgboye gives Texas Tech its best interior shot-blocker of the McCasland era. He posted a 14.51% block rate at VCU last season - second-best in all of college basketball - and is one of only four players in the last five seasons to record at least 75 blocks in fewer than 600 minutes. At -21.5, this line is steep, but Texas Tech's defense and star power should carry them to a comfortable home win.

St. Bonaventure Bonnies @ Florida Atlantic Owls

3:30 PM ET ESPN2 Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena, Boca Raton FAU -4.5 O/U 146.5

Florida Atlantic hosts St. Bonaventure in a matchup of mid-major programs with NCAA Tournament aspirations. The Owls made the Final Four in 2023 and remain a quality program under Dusty May's system, now looking to rebuild that momentum in the AAC. St. Bonaventure is always competitive in the Atlantic 10 and brings a physical, disciplined style that travels well. The under 146.5 looks attractive given both teams' defensive tendencies.

Yale Bulldogs @ Vermont Catamounts

2:00 PM ET ESPN+ Patrick Gymnasium, Burlington Yale -6.5 O/U 151.5

An intriguing Ivy vs. America East matchup in Burlington as Yale visits Vermont. Both programs are perennial conference contenders and frequently earn NCAA Tournament bids. Yale is favored by 6.5 on the road, reflecting the Bulldogs' talented roster that could challenge for the Ivy League title. Vermont is always tough to beat at home in Patrick Gymnasium, where the atmosphere is among the best in low-major basketball. This game has potential for a close finish.
