This is the game of the night, and it's not particularly close. The #24 Miami (OH) RedHawks at 22-0 are one of only two undefeated teams remaining in Division I basketball alongside Arizona. Their 22-game winning streak is a Mid-American Conference record, surpassing the legendary 2001-02 Kent State squad that made a run to the Elite Eight. Miami is the real deal, leading the nation in field goal percentage at 53.7% and ranking third nationally in three-point percentage at 40.9%.

The RedHawks don't just shoot the lights out, they defend too. This is a complete team that's been blowing through MAC competition with ease. Almar Atlason has emerged as the go-to scorer, while Peter Suder and Antwone Woolfolk provide scoring punch from multiple positions. Woolfolk's ability to grab double-digit rebounds gives Miami a physical presence that most mid-major teams can't match. Their 28 consecutive home wins is the longest active home streak in Division I, but now they have to prove they can win on the road in a hostile environment.

Buffalo at 14-7 overall and 4-5 in MAC play is no pushover. The Bulls are led by Ryan Sabol, who's averaging 20.3 points per game, good for fourth in the MAC. Sabol has scored in double figures in every conference game this season, showing remarkable consistency. Daniel Freitag leads the conference in free throw makes and attempts, making Buffalo a dangerous free throw shooting team. The Bulls get 36.4% of their points from three, the best mark in the MAC, so they can absolutely shoot with Miami.

The 163.5 total is the highest on the board tonight, and for good reason. Both teams can score in bunches, and this game has the potential to be a track meet. Miami has played above this number consistently, and Buffalo's style invites high-scoring affairs. The spread at -4.5 feels light for an undefeated, nationally-ranked team, but Alumni Arena can be a difficult place to play. Buffalo has the offensive firepower to keep this competitive, but can they actually stop a Miami offense that's been virtually unstoppable all season?

Akron @ Eastern Michigan

Spread
AKR -12.5

AKR -900 / EMU +600
Total
O/U 152.5

The Akron Zips hit the road to Ypsilanti as massive favorites against the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Under head coach John Groce, Akron has continued the winning tradition established by Keith Dambrot, who turned the program into perennial MAC contenders during his decade-plus tenure. The Zips made the 2025 NCAA Tournament as a 13-seed and have maintained that level of success into this season.

Eastern Michigan has struggled mightily this season, and the 12.5-point spread reflects the talent gap between these two programs. The Eagles have had difficulty scoring consistently and their defense has been equally porous at times. Playing at the Convocation Center gives them a slight home court advantage, but it's hard to see how they can keep this game competitive against a vastly superior opponent.

The moneyline at -900 for Akron is prohibitive, but there's no value laying that kind of juice even on a heavy favorite. The spread and total are where the action should be. At 152.5, the total suggests a moderately paced game, and the under has been the trend in Akron road games recently. The Zips are comfortable grinding out games and controlling tempo, which could keep this score lower than the total suggests. Eastern Michigan simply doesn't have the offensive firepower to push this into the 160s.

Canisius @ Niagara

NIAG -2.5

CAN +130 / NIAG -155

O/U 126.5

The battle for Western New York supremacy continues as Canisius visits Niagara in a MAAC rivalry game. These two programs, located just 20 miles apart, have been playing each other since 1925, making this one of the longest-running rivalries in college basketball. The Gallagher Center will be rocking for this one, with bragging rights on the line between the two Buffalo-area programs.

Niagara is a slight home favorite at -2.5, suggesting the oddsmakers see this as essentially a toss-up with the home court being the deciding factor. The Purple Eagles have been inconsistent this season but tend to raise their game against their biggest rival. Home court advantage in the MAAC is significant, and Niagara has protected their floor reasonably well against conference opponents this year.

The 126.5 total is the lowest of the night by a considerable margin, reflecting both teams' defensive-oriented styles. Neither Canisius nor Niagara is going to blow you away offensively, and these rivalry games tend to be physical, grind-it-out affairs. The under has been the trend in recent meetings between these two programs, and there's no reason to expect a shootout tonight. If you're looking for value, the under and the slight underdog catching 2.5 points on the road both have merit.
