Rams @ Seahawks
Thursday, December 18, 2025 | 8:15 PM ET | Lumen Field | Prime Video
This is history. For the first time ever, Thursday Night Football will feature two teams with 11 wins meeting this late in the season. The Rams and Seahawks are tied atop the NFC West, and tonight's winner takes sole possession of first place with two weeks remaining. The stakes couldn't be higher.
Matthew Stafford has been magnificent this season, and the Rams' offense is firing on all cylinders. Puka Nacua continues to be one of the most dangerous receivers in football, and with Cooper Kupp healthy, defenses can't double anyone. LA's passing attack is averaging over 280 yards per game since Week 8, and Seattle's secondary will be tested like never before.
But here's the thing about Lumen Field—it's one of the toughest environments in football. The Seahawks are 6-0 at home this season, and the 12th Man will be deafening for this prime-time showdown. Seattle's defense has quietly become one of the best in the league, allowing just 18.2 points per game over their last six contests.
Keys to Victory
For the Rams, it's all about protecting Stafford and letting him work. Seattle's pass rush has been inconsistent, but when they get pressure, they create chaos. LA needs to establish some semblance of a running game to keep the defense honest and give Stafford clean pockets.
Seattle needs to control the clock and keep Stafford on the sideline. Kenneth Walker III has been explosive lately, and if the Seahawks can run effectively, they can dictate the tempo. Sam Darnold has been solid managing games—he doesn't need to be a hero, just efficient.
The Bottom Line
This game comes down to execution in the trenches. Both teams are well-coached, both have elite weapons, and both desperately want the division lead. Home field gives Seattle a slight edge, but the Rams have proven they can win anywhere. Expect a close, physical game that likely comes down to the final possession. This is playoff football in December—exactly what we want.
